➕ Costco Yakisoba Stir Fry Kit (Cooking Instructions)
You can find the Costco yakisoba stir fry recipe directions right on the packaging for the product. If your package is damaged, here are the how to cook Costco yakisoba stir fry cooking instructions:
Heat a wok or large saute pan over medium high heat on the stovetop with about ¼ cup of oil. (The how to cook Costco stir fry kit instructions calls for 2oz of oil which is approximately ¼c.)
Add the vegetables and cook for 2 minutes. (Don’t miss all the veggies hidden under the noodles!)

Next, add the noodles and sauce and cook, stirring frequently to coat everything with the sauce, for 1 minute. The Costco yakisoba noodles stir fry is done when it reaches a minimum safe internal temperature of 165F (74C). Use a meat thermometer to check.
I was surprised at how many veggies were hiding under the noodles in the container. There are far more vegetables and less noodles than it initially appears. The sauce was salty with a little sweetness- we all really enjoyed it!
If you dislike salty foods, you may want to only use half the sauce when cooking this dish. Add in the rest of the sauce after tasting, if you determine you want more.

Does stir fry need to be on medium or medium high heat?
Stir fries (in general) are heated quickly in a wok over medium high heat. You want the vegetables to remain tender crisp, and the meat to be seared on the outside, remaining juicy in the center.

FAQs
Can you freeze Costco yakisoba stir fry?
Yes, you can freeze Costco Yakisoba Stir Fry, but the texture and quality of the noodles and vegetables may deteriorate. Freezing can cause the vegetables to become mushy and the noodles to become soggy. Additionally, the sauce may separate when frozen and thawed, resulting in a less flavorful dish.
Are yakisoba noodles from Costco vegan?
Yes, the noodles in the Kirkland yakisoba are vegan, but the package also contains chicken, so this is not a vegan option. Costco’s frozen yakisoba does appear to be a vegan product.
What is the sauce for Costco yakisoba?
The Costco yakisoba sauce is almost the same as teriyaki sauce, and you can substitute the two for each other in a pinch. Teriyaki sauce is usually made with soy sauce, sugar, sake or mirin, and sometimes ginger and garlic. Costco’s yakisoba sauce also includes ketchup for additional flavor.
Are yakisoba noodles already cooked?
Yes, many yakisoba noodles, including the ones at Costco, are pre-cooked and only need to be reheated. If you are using dried yakisoba noodles instead, they will need to be cooked in boiling water for a few minutes until they are tender but still slightly firm.

💭 Expert Tips from Dietitian Summer Yule
This is a level 2 recipe (transition or weight maintenance). Can yakisoba be healthy? Yakisoba can be a healthy dish if prepared with the right ingredients and in moderation. Get more information on making healthy yakisoba in my beef yakisoba recipe. My main complaint about all of the prepared yakisoba options is that they are very high in sodium. If you eat a double portion of the yakisoba stir fry from the Costco deli, you’re getting 2020 mg sodium. That’s close to the recommended sodium limit for an entire day. On the other hand, we really enjoyed the Costco yakisoba for a quick, tasty, and balanced meal. (Balanced in the sense that it provided a range of food groups, including lots of vegetables.) I would definitely purchase this one again, and you can always use half the sauce if you want things less salty. Nutrition information is for one serving of the Costco yakisoba stir fry kit (6.75 ounces). A more realistic portion is likely a double serving, in which case the nutrition info below should be doubled.
