We liked the vanilla Hlth Code the best, I think it tastes like delicious cake batter. The chocolate macadamia Hlth Code was a bit too sweet for my preferences. Some Hlth Code shake reviews recommend mixing the two flavors together to make it more palatable if you don’t like one or the other that much.

The easiest way to make a Health Code shake is to use their insulated blender bottle. It is BPA-free, leak proof, and comes with a blender ball for smooth, clump-free shakes that are not gritty. It’s perfect for using during power outages because no electricity is needed.
Be sure to wash the bottle before using it. The lid is dishwasher safe, but you do need to handwash the cup and blender ball. Do not use the shaker bottle for hot or carbonated drinks.

In short, the ingredients in both Hlth Code flavors are the same, except the chocolate flavor has added cocoa powder and the order of the monk fruit and stevia are flipped in the ingredients list. Both Hlth Code varieties are gluten free with no artificial sweeteners and no artificial ingredients.
Both Hlth Code shakes have no sugar alcohols. Instead, monk fruit and stevia are used as sources of sweetness. Whey, collagen, and egg whites are used as protein source in Hlth Code, so these products are not vegan.
The (self-proclaimed) healthy fats blend contains powdered sources of fats that tend to undergo less processing. This includes coconut oil, olive oil, flax, and ghee butter. These protein powders also include digestive enzymes and probiotics.

💪 Is Hlth Code Shake Healthy?
I think HLTH Code is a fine option for a fast and nutrient-dense meal as part of an overall healthy balanced diet. HLTH Code provides macronutrients, fiber for gut health, as well as essential vitamins and minerals needed for lean muscle mass, focus, and an overall healthy body. Its low carb content may make it an easier fit for those managing their blood sugar in diabetes than sugary drinks.
Hlth Code Downsides
One downside, IMO as a registered dietitian, is that I’m not seeing anything about third party testing on the Health Code site. Like many other food supplements, this product is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women, or for children (source). Ask your doctor before starting this product if you’re taking prescription medications.
My other complaint is that the literature that comes with the shake mix has a clear low-carb bias, and recommends limiting nutritious foods such as pineapple and mango. (They also recommend stopping counting calories because “it doesn’t work long-term.” Hmmm, though not the right approach for everyone, somehow I’ve managed to keep 70 lbs off for over 10 years this way without a keto diet. 😉)
They also recommend avoiding highly processed seed oils (such as soybean oil) and fasting for at least 12 hours per day. Neither of these are necessary for weight loss. That said, I don’t have an issue with cutting back on seed oils, because they are ubiquitous and typically overconsumed in the American diet.
The HLTH Code shake mixes are fairly high in saturated fat. In terms of mainstream nutrition advice, it is monounsaturated and unsaturated fat that are typically thought of as heart healthy fats. Though I have no issue with using moderate amounts of coconut oil, butter, and other saturated fat sources in a healthy diet, modifying the formula to contain less saturated fatty acids and more monounsaturated fatty acids may be more ideal.
Three 400 calorie meals per day (i.e., 1200 calories daily) isn’t enough calories for most adults, even those trying to lose weight. I would have preferred using real sugar instead of stevia and monkfruit to bump up the calories a little, and I bet it would make it taste even better.
